photography program
high school photography course puts students behind the lens and in front of the classroom
In 2008, CEF funded a photography program through "Education Without Borders," at Fezeka High School in the Guguletu Township, South Africa. By providing the necessary equipment and instruction, the program has given students a chance to look at the world from a different perspective and the opportunity to document their individual lives. In addition, CEF sponsored two students and a teacher to attend a photography training program offered by "Bridges To Understanding". The participants learned additional skills and techniques that they could then pass along to fellow students in an extra-curricular program at school. What's truly exciting about this project is the connection of photographers supporting the growth of photographers in a developing nation.
